Who is Eye Kona?

Eye Kona is London based contemporary artist who's paintings are inspired by Pop Art culture, Street Art and artists like Jean Michel Basquiat, Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Georgia O’keeffe and many more.

Born in Palanga, Lithuania (1986), after finishing studies in Vilnius Fine Art Academy Eye Kona moved to London in 2009 to explore her creative side and get inspired by London's rhythm and myriad of people.
In 2016 Eye Kona moved to a huge office space in Clerkenwell, Central London, as a live-in-guardian. Here she found canvases and paint in the basement and immediately started to paint the same day. She couldn’t stop and recalls painting her first painting “a woman in an orange chair” for 12 hours straight. That is how she found her old passion of painting again and she haven’t stopped ever since.

A large portion of Eye Kona’s works merge traditional acrylic paints with other unique materials; she transcends the confines of mixed media art to create a style of her own. Individuals transpose their own experiences when interpreting her art, each seeing a unique personal impression from the same image.
